IEP Tubs

· · ·
Do you ever feel overwhelmed throughout the day when you try to address EVERY IEP goal that is in your classroom?  I know I do.  How can you teach multiplication and colors at the same time?  Simply put, you can’t.  I make sure to address all of our student’s individual needs through a very strict and rigorous daily schedule.  In order to make it all possible, students each have their own IEP tub set up for quick assessments and daily monitoring.

In each IEP tub are all of the materials needed to quickly assess a student on each IEP goal.  I include sight word flash cards, writing worksheets, color/shape worksheets, key pads to practice phone numbers, shoes to practice tying shoes etc.  You name an IEP goal and I promise you it is in the IEP tub. (Except toilets/sinks/toothbrushes 🙂
Under each IEP tub I have a clipboard.  The first page is every IEP goal for that student so that any staff member can work with the student and know what exactly we are working towards.  Behind the IEP goals are data sheets to take quick and easy data.  I can assure you that if I did not have data sheets right with the IEP tubs, I would NOT take data.  If it’s not easy, we won’t do it!  By investing the time to set up the IEP tubs/clipboards I save so much time throughout the year!
