Organizing Teacher Space!

· ·

I am extremely neurotic when it comes to organization.  I only wish my budget was unlimited so I could buy cute organizers for my cupboards… because I’m on a budget I make do with what the school provides me.  I like to start my summer organization with all of the closed off cupboards.  I am in a portable so I have no “built-in” storage.  Look at how wonderful all of my large cupboards are!

(I confine ALL my to-do’s/paperwork to be filed to ONE small basket on my desk.  If I can’t fit anything else in my basket.. it’s time to stop and organize!)

Organization is key to staying calm throughout the school day.  Knowing where everything is creates a calm peace of mind.  And this is WHY I chose to share this with you guys FIRST.  Like I said above, the first thing I do is organize the stuff you CAN’T see! I do this because as I rearrange things, organize student materials etc., I come across so many things that need to be put away.  I feel like it is a waste of time throwing stuff away in cupboards and leaving it for the very end.  Needless to say, if I save my things (cabinets, files, desk etc.,) until the end, I know I will never get around to it because my list is never-ending like I said! Getting ready for Back to School is a huge undertaking, and keeping organized is key!
